Make your vote count for safe gun laws

As we count down to Election Day, I wanted to reach out once more on behalf of OSGS to remind you that if we're going to pass effective safe gun storage laws in Oregon, we must be sure to elect a legislature that will make it happen.

As we count down to Election Day, I wanted to reach out once more on behalf of OSGS to remind you that if we're going to pass effective safe gun storage laws in Oregon, we must be sure to elect a legislature that will make it happen.

These candidates are ready to get right to work on passing a safe storage measure to keep our communities safe from gun violence.

Safe gun storage is based on the simple concept that preventing children, thieves and others from gaining unauthorized access to firearms may be the most important part of responsible gun ownership.

Other states have already passed similar measures, and it's time that Oregon does, too. Here's what you can do:

  1. Mark your ballot for these strong candidates who support our cause, and bring it to the nearest ballot drop box before Tuesday at 8 p.m.

(Unsure of where the nearest drop box is? Check here.)

  1. Head over to Facebook and let all your friends know that safe gun storage is on the horizon, and their vote can make it a reality.

If everyone in our movement votes for these candidates, Oregon will have a safe storage law on the books by this time next year!

Onward,

Henry
